When reflecting on the drawing of a self portrait of a leader, there are several things that come to mind. The first difference that I can see if the shape of the eyes which represents if you think the majority of OTs are leaders. In the first drawing I selected that the vast majority of OTs are leaders, but in the second drawing I selected that there is an equal mixture of leaders and non leaders in the field of OT. I think this view changed because I have learned that you don't necessarily have to have the personality of leadership in order to be a good OT. I think OTs are leaders in their own unique way, and they have the ability to use their specific personality strengths in order to connect with their patients. I think we definitely have a strong mixture of OT personalities in the field and not all of them may choose leadership positions. Another difference I found was in the ears. In the first picture I drew ears that represented technology is an important part of leadership. In the second picture I drew that technology doesn't have to be an effective part of leadership. I think this opinion changed because you don't have to be technologically advanced in order to be a leader. I do think that it would be beneficial to the position, but depending on what type of leader you are, you may not need technology. Every other aspect of my drawing is the same as my first drawing. I really enjoyed reflecting back on our opinions and seeing how they have changed over time. I think it definitely represents how we have grown in our own leadership strengths as school has gone on and we have developed more clinical reasoning.
